Industries / Healthcare & Dental
Your practice, protected. Your patients, private.
Dental and healthcare practices carry real obligations around patient data — but rarely have IT to match. We give your practice the security posture of a large organisation, handled quietly in the background, so you can focus on patients.
The reality for your practice
Real obligations, often on casual IT.
Patient data is a target
Health records are among the most valuable data to attackers — and a breach is a notifiable event under the OAIC scheme.
Consumer-grade IT, clinical-grade risk
Many practices run patient systems on the same casual IT a small shop would use. The gap between that and the obligation is where breaches happen.
Obligations stack up
The Privacy Act, the My Health Record framework and AHPRA / Dental Board expectations all bear on how you handle information.
How VentaCore helps
Protection that fits how a practice actually runs.
- Secure your practice management and clinical software
- Protect patient data with encryption, access control and MFA
- Managed backups so a ransomware scare never stops you seeing patients
- Essential Eight uplift, mapped to your practice
- Breach preparedness aligned to the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme
- Plain-English support your front desk and clinicians can actually follow
A note on language
You'll see some IT providers reference "HIPAA" — that's United States law and doesn't apply to an Australian practice. Your obligations sit under the Privacy Act 1988, the OAIC Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, the My Health Record framework and your professional board. We work to those — the ones that actually govern you.
One phishing email shouldn't risk your whole practice.
